Trekking Ribeira Grande - Calabaceira to Cidade Velha

The transfer from our accommodation in Praia to “Calabaceira” will take about 15 to 20 Min.

From Calabaceira we start our schedule from 02:30 to 03:00 walk along the water stream, passing beautiful green fields, local farming villages, Rum distilleries (opportunity to try) and the famous old Boabab trees. We will often come across very friendly local farmers.

Arriving at the “Old City”, which in 2009 was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, we still have time to visit the famous Fortress that protected the island from pirate attacks.

Lunch is served at a very nice seaside restaurant in Cidade Velha.

Return transfer to our accommodation in Praia.
